They might all look alike from a distance, but the truth is that not all pickups are made equal. Hell, even different variants of the same model are designed for different purposes. When Ford Philippines first revealed the FX4 in late 2016, it was clear that it wasn't intended to blaze any off-road trails.
Instead, the FX4 was intended for a different kind of jungle: the concrete one. First off, its stealthy and sleek blacked-out look blend in with city backdrops. Then there are the other details, like the 4x2 drivetrain, flat stepboards for easier passenger access, LED lighting on the roll bars, stock decals, and 2.2-liter Duratorq engine. And if those weren't enough, the single-zone manual A/C that reaches Nissan-levels of cold will remind you that the FX4 was designed with city driving in mind.
Make no mistake, though. Even if the FX4 wasn't built for mud and lahar, it's still a badass truck that will do what you ask of it. To learn more about what it has to offer, watch our review in the link above. Then share your thoughts on the pickup in the comments.
