Hyundai has been busy re-establishing its presence in the local market and has launched a number of new offerings in doing so. The Creta, thanks to its compact form factor and relatively budget-friendly price tag, is one of the most intriguing of the bunch—but can its handle its own during a road trip? We got behind the wheel of the crossover in Cebu to find out.

Long story short? Yes, this thing can handle road trips without any problems. There’s a decent amount of space, and the relatively premium-feeling cabin gives you the sense you’re inside something slightly pricier. Its 1.5-liter gasoline engine (113hp and up to 144Nm of torque) is capable, and its braking power is impressive as well.
