Arnel Pineda can sing. The dude wouldn’t have shot to fame or ended up fronting Journey—one of the most iconic rock bands of the ’80s (for anyone born past the mid ’90s)—if he couldn’t. He can sing in front of a crowd, on live television, and in front of just about any audience.
Now, Pineda can sing in the middle of EDSA traffic as well, thanks to a little help from—you guessed it—Atoy Customs.
The singer recently turned to Atoy Llave’s garage to Manila-proof his Hyundai Starex. You know, the usual stuff: plush leather captain’s chairs, a couch, a folding bed, a table, and some nice blue ambient lighting. And as you can see in the Instagram post below, Atoy threw in a little something else in Pineda’s van, too.
Yes, that’s Atoy and Pineda belting out Wonderwall with a pair of wireless microphones inside the latter’s ride. This vehicle is now a rolling KTV.
“Kayo naka duet na ba with a good singer?” Atoy jokes in his post. “Ganito manira ng kanta. Konti na lang lalapit na ako sa boses ni @journeymusicofficial @arnelpineda2007.”
Not bad at all. So, what’s next for Atoy? Transforming a Hyundai H350 into a full-blown recording studio? Frankly, nothing would surprise us anymore.
