So Maxus Philippines officially made its local launch on June 5, 2019, and it brought in two new models to build its brand presence here in the Philippines: the V80 passenger van and the G10 MPV.
The latter boasts a nine-passenger capacity and—get this—two rows of captain’s chairs (four seats in total). We finally got to check out the vehicle at last night’s launch, and we have to say it looks pretty promising.
The exterior will change the way you view cars from China (Maxus is under SAIC). The G10 looks pretty stylish and gives off a sort of European vibe with its swept-back headlights and strong character lines.
Long story short, this exterior is what you’d get if the Mercedes-Benz V-Class and the Kia Carnival had a baby.
Inside is where the G10 really impresses. There’s a decent amount of room, and the four captain’s chairs should keep passengers more than comfortable on long-haul road trips. There are A/C vents scattered all throughout the cabin, and the front portion of the car features a modern dashboard design with a nice layout.
If you’re looking for a ride that’ll serve as a family road trip companion, the G10 might be worth looking into. The MPV starts at P1,680,000 and packs a 1.9-liter Euro 4-compliant diesel engine capable of 148hp and 350Nm of torque.
