The MX-5 is arguably one of the most beautiful cars Mazda has ever built—from the OG to the current-gen model.
Local Mazda distributor Bermaz Auto Philippines, however, has decided to take things up a notch and turn the roadster into its own ‘art car.’ The colorfully wrapped Miata dubbed the MX-5 Imagine was designed by renowned car enthusiast and MX-5 ambassador Angie Mead King.
Second Skin Industries turned the 3D form of the car into 2D to digitally print the design on car-wrapping vinyl before applying it onto the car. The result is this rather eye-catching sports car that Mazda calls the ultimate expression of the brand’s ‘Car as Art’ design philosophy.

“The MX-5 is known for its award-winning design as evident by being the first and only Japanese car to win both the World Car of the Year and the World Car Design of the Year in the same year,” says Bermaz Auto Philippines president Steven Tan. “The creation of the Mazda MX-5 Imagine art car brings everything full circle. By serving as a canvas, it not only becomes a piece of beauty and sophistication but of passion and emotion as well.”
The MX-5 Imagine was on display alongside the CX-5 Turbo and CX-9 AWD Signature last weekend at the Mazda Premium Experience Display at the Powerplant Mall and will make more public appearances both on and off the racetrack leading to the 12-hour Bonifacio Cup Endurance Race in November.
