For all their visual similarities, the Suzuki Jimny and Mercedes-Benz G-Class also share one unique trait—longevity. The previous Suzuki mini off-roader was on the market for two decades, and Mercedes’s SUV to the stars was in showrooms for almost 40 years. This means comparisons between these two boxy 4x4s will be the topic of online chatter for a long time.
On paper there are obviously few things they have in common, and they occupy extreme ends of the price spectrum. So how can they be properly compared? With the way our automotive forefathers did it—a drag race.
