Yes, that is a Mercedes-Benz pickup truck. Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. After much hype, the German carmaker has finally unveiled the all-new X-Class, the brand's foray into the world of premium pickups.
It looks largely similar to the concept released by the company back in late 2016, sans the over-the-top wheels and front fascia. Production-spec X-Class units come with a variety of engines with different levels of performance, but the most intriguing variant to us is the top-of-the-line X350d 4MATIC and its V6 diesel set to come out next year.
Inside, we get a rugged take on the brand's signature premium design with plenty of polished metal and modern-looking quad aircon vents. Just like the exterior, the cabin looks similar to the concept's.
All things considered, the look isn't as attached to the Nissan Navara--from which its architecture is based--as some make it out to be, and this doesn't look like a vehicle that's too premium to get dirty.
