How does the Mitsubishi Strada Ralliart fare as a motocamping vehicle?

Okay, so Mitsubishi’s new Ralliart Edition releases aren’t exactly what fans were expecting. Still, we’re glad to see the name back in the local market. Even if it is just in the form of this dressed-up Strada.

The upgrades might be purely aesthetic, but the Strada Ralliart is a perfectly capable truck. At the very least, it’s fine for a nice out-of-town excursion and a short camping trip—as Top Gear Philippines editorial assistant Leandre Grecia discovered recently.

Our staff member had the keys to a Mitsubishi Strada Ralliart test unit for a couple of days, so he decided to head out to Chandava Lake Resort in Cavinti, Laguna for a chill night under the stars with some friends.

The site features a motocamping area and is just a short 1.5-hour drive from Los Baños. The distance isn’t too bad even if you’re coming from Metro Manila (provided you can avoid rush hour traffic). Frankly, it’s a perfect weekend getaway if you’re not looking for a more laid-back road trip experience.
