Still counting the days until you can finally get back behind the wheel? Don’t hold your breath. Authorities have extended the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine until April 30, and there’s really no telling at the moment whether or not that date will be moved back further.
If you’re looking for a way to pass the time and keep your sanity during this health crisis, how about a little coloring therapy—car-guy style, of course.
Motor Union of Manila has released a set of old school motoring coloring sheets for everyone, regardless of age, to enjoy. There are six of them in total: Isuzu Gemini, Mitsubishi Celeste, Nissan Stanza, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Starlet, and Macho Machine.
That backdrop should be familiar to many of you, too. Ian Magbanua, who is responsible for the artwork and who also happens to be the classics and customs editor of Top Gear PH, says he chose the old Greenhills because this was where he first got a taste of Manila’s car scene.
“I was 15 when my older brother started to bring me along to Saturday night tambays in Greenhills. So that’s where I had my first taste of the Manila car scene and where I came to find more significance in my love of cars,” he says.
“Whereas prior to that, I was just reading off magazines, suddenly, I was in a place where I could better understand cars and the culture.”
You can download the full-resolution coloring sheets here. Are there any other cars you hope will get added to this selection? Let us know in the comments.
