Feast your eyes on the Niagara Speedway--North America's largest elevated go-kart facility, and probably the closest thing we'll ever come to an actual Mario Kart track.

This thing is absolutely massive. The track itself is over 600m long, and is made from over 4,400 tons of concrete, 270,000kg of steel and held together by 10,000 bolts and 1,832 welded assemblies. Worried that you'll be sent flying to your demise on the upper levels? The length of the track is lined by over 650m of guard rail, too.

Clifton Hill (where the facility resides) owner Harry Oakes describes the latest addition to his establishment as "go-kart on steroids." And seeing aerial shots of the place, we have to agree with him. "You drive on a road course for a portion of the race and then spiral up to about 40 feet, and then come down a long hill ... kind of like the way a wooden coaster would be," Oakes adds.

Frankly, we don't know if we should be terrified or excited reading that description. Like we said, the closest thing we'll ever come to real-life Mario Kart. Just be sure not to drive around throwing projectiles at other racers.
