Function over form, or form over function? Most of us would probably prefer the former—getting from point A to B is what’s most important, after all. But if you’re more for the latter, that’s fine, too—and you should definitely check this out.
TRA Kyoto mastermind Kei Miura has created another monster yet again, this time in the form of a custom Toyota Hilux. It has all the makings of a Pandem/Rocket Bunny mod: wide wheels and massive tires, a lowered stance, and those broad, riveted fenders that complete the signature look.
This truck is the latest addition to Miura’s portfolio—one containing a myriad of trendsetting designs that have been tailor-fit for classic and modern cars alike. The custom work done on this modern-day truck hints at the JDM culture and style that Miura’s work have epitomized for decades.
We’re sure a lot of people will shake their heads upon seeing this build—many of them will argue that it defeats the truck’s purpose of hauling heavy cargo. But you have to admit, the overall look seems pretty badass. You might not be able to load it up to the standard truck’s maximum capacity, but this bad boy is definitely a looker. At some point, you’ll probably lose count of the heads you will have turned while driving something like this down the street.
What do you think of this custom ride? Sound off in the comments.
