The Porsche Cayenne is a vehicle that was built with versatility in mind. Now, does ‘versatility’ mean you can take your stock Cayenne to one of the most hardcore off-road settings in the US? Not necessarily—but the footage above is proof that it can be done.

YouTuber Harrison Schoen recently took a stock 2008 Cayenne over to Hell’s Gate in the Moab to push the Porsche to its absolute limit. And outside of a few uneasy scrapes, everything goes swimmingly.

The kicker here is that you need to know what the hell you’re doing. We aren’t referring to just while you’re behind the wheel, either, as being able to assess and adjust to the terrain ahead is of the utmost importance.

“There wasn’t a doubt in my mind actually that I wasn’t going to make it,” Schoen says after conquering the infamous Hell’s Gate.

“I mean the tires were definitely skirting and I was worried about maybe popping off a bead, but otherwise? It was pretty solid.”

“Dude, what can the Cayenne not do?” he added.

Very impressive for a luxury SUV. Even more impressive, however, is knowing there are owners out there still willing to put rides like this on the line. Would you do something like this if you owned a Porsche Cayenne?
