The past NBA season was one for the ages. The Golden State Warriors managed to break the Chicago Bulls' 72-win regular season record, and Lebron James finally delivered an NBA championship to the Cleveland Cavaliers. But in between all that, Kobe Bryant finally decided to call it quits after a legendary 20-year career, eclipsing all other basketball-related news in the last 12 months.
The Los Angeles Lakers star was showered with farewell tributes and gifts throughout his final season. The best one had to be hearing his name echoing throughout Staples Center following the awe-inspiring 60-point finale to his career. How do you top that?
Well, LA-based rap icon Snoop Dogg surely gave it a try. Snoop gifted the retired basketball legend with a one-of-a-kind Lakers-themed Pontiac convertible. It features a purple-and-yellow paint job, an all-white interior, and a detailed mural of Bryant with Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain and, er, himself.
Some people might find the car a little too tacky, but it's still a touching gesture from one of the team's biggest fans. Unfortunately, we're unsure of the exact model of Kobe's new ride. Would any of you care to guess?
