Filipinos are world-class craftsmen, no doubt about it. We can create something useful or beautiful out of seemingly worthless objects. Take this Pinoy seaman, for example. Lex Sabando Eslita, according to his friend who sent us these photos, made this very detailed scale model of a motorcycle using various knickknacks. This, we assume, is how he passes the time at sea so he won't feel too homesick.
His friend says there are many other scale models that Lex has finished. We hope to get more photos soon so we can share them with you. In the meantime, let's all marvel at the creativity (and resourcefulness) of our imaginative countryman. Just a thought: Maybe he can start a business out of this. Would you buy an item if he did?
