Some of us at Top Gear Philippines are avid bikers. In fact, we helped form our office bicycle club, which goes on rides around the city every now and then. During our last outing, we decided to escape the smog and dangers of Metro Manila roads and headed to bike-friendly Nuvali in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Of course, we couldn't ride our bikes going there--at least not until we're back in shape. So we borrowed the cars of SsangYong Philippines: the Korando compact SUV, the Rodius family van and the Tivoli subcompact crossover. The distributor of the Korean car brand--yes, SsangYong is KOREAN, guys, not Chinese--went the extra mile and installed Rhino-Rack bike racks on the vehicles, courtesy of Outdoors Club Greenhills.
This fun ride honestly changed the way we looked at SsangYong vehicles. Any doubts about reliability and capability were quickly erased. We now know these cars can be relied upon as lifestyle transporters. Watch our short video to see what we mean.
