Will a Formula 1 car run on standard petrol?

If you're a Formula 1 fan, it's a sure bet you've wondered one time or another whether the stuff used on an F1 car is just as good as the regular merchandise you can buy from the stores. Like the fuel, for instance. Just how much more special is the quality of petrol used by F1 cars compared to the regular gasoline we can get from our neighborhood fuel pump?

To answer this question, Shell asked double F1 champ Fernando Alonso to drive his Ferrari, first with the racing fuel used during actual grands prix, and then with the regular V-Power petrol sold to consumers.
