Driving a car up a twisty road is nice and all, but there’s an entirely different kind of adrenaline to tackling certain environments on two wheels instead of four.
If this is a mindset you live by and prefer to have a go at adventurous terrain without the aid of a combustion engine, Ducati—yes, the motorcycle manufacturer—has something you might be interested in.
The Ducati TK-01RR Limited Edition is a new e-bike aiming to cater to adrenaline junkies. In particular, the brand wants to appeal to riders with an addiction to going downhill on two wheels.

It comes equipped with carbon wheels, and a 180mm Öhlins DH38 travel fork works to keep road imperfections manageable and the e-bike’s ride stable. The build also features plenty of carbon, which you’ll find on the handlebar, engine cover, rims, and battery cover. The choice of material not only keeps the vehicle’s weight down but also supposedly gives it a more premium feel as well.
Shifting is managed by an 11-speed Shimano Di2 XT, while stopping duties are handled by four-piston aluminum monobloc Magura MT7 disc brakes. Powering the TK-01RR Limited Edition is a 250W Shimano motor that draws juice from a 630Wh battery to churn out 85Nm of torque.
Sounds both fancy and capable, eh? Well, it shows in the price tag. Buying this e-bike will set you back a cool $10,995 (P611,000), so you best make sure you’re putting it to good use in a fitting environment if you ever decide to pull the trigger on one.
