You know how a simple change in color can do wonders for a car’s aesthetics? Well, this applies to almost everything else as well.
Yes, there’s a reason why people obsess over what color to go with when it comes to a smartphone case or scour the Internet for that perfect sneaker colorway. This applies to watches, too, as is the case with the Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000PB-6.
The GMW-B5000PB-6 is the latest release in Casio’s 5000 line of metal timepieces. There are a handful of special treatments here, but the main feature of this watch is its purple and blue gray finish—a design choice which the company says was inspired by the colors that envelop Tokyo during twilight.
Other things worth noting here include purple accents on the dial, a negative mode for the LCD screen, Bluetooth compatibility, five world times and 39 cities, up to 200 meters of water resistance, a shock-resistant build, and the brand’s Tough Solar charging system.
This piece’s price is reportedly set at 82,500 Japanese yen (around P38,000) in Japan. As far as features and build are concerned, this is largely similar to the rest of the 5000 line’s offerings. It’s really the new colorway that brings this release together. Anyone else aching to see a Tokyo sunset after seeing this watch?
