McLaren’s impressive lineup of toy cars continues to grow. After the Senna Ride-On, the British carmaker brings us this: The McLaren GT Ride-On. McLaren fans aged three to six years old—or, you know, even adults like us—should be excited.
This small car looks the part of a McLaren GT, with a similarly designed front fascia and large low-profile wheels. McLaren badging can also be found around the vehicle. However, the Ride-On can only be had in its single-seat roadster form.
This may not ride like a real grand tourer, either, so don’t expect to get a lot of comfort from it throughout a long drive. That said, it still does have amenities you probably wouldn’t find in most toy cars.
There’s a small infotainment system that can play music through a USB device or an SD card to make traveling much more enjoyable. The GT Ride-On also has actual dashboard controls and a key start that activates the engine sounds. This engine also revs as the little one behind the wheel steps on the gas pedal, and there’s also a brake light function for added safety.
The McLaren GT Ride-On can be had in any of the six color options, namely: Burnished Copper, Silica White, Onyx Black, McLaren Orange, Amaranth Red, and Burton Blue. Prices range from £163 to £234 (P11,000 to P16,000) depending on the options selected.
“At McLaren Automotive, we aim to inspire the future generation of supercar enthusiasts. The new GT Ride-On allows even the smallest of fans to discover the magic of our pioneering supercars,” said Merchandise, Licensing & Partnerships manager at McLaren Automotive Hayley Robinson. “We’re proud to develop and encourage younger minds and seek to create the next generation of drivers, engineers, and automotive designers.”
We reckon an Artura Ride-On could be coming in the near future. What say you, Internet?
