As promised, you can buy a Tesla Cybertruck at the close of 2021...

...but not the real thing. Welcome to the Mega X Tesla Cybertruck

“Expected to go on sale late in 2021”, we said when the Tesla Cybertruck first graced this funny little world we call ‘cars.’

Well, given that we’ve lived out almost all of 2021’s days already, and still no sign of a madcap, under-3sec-to-100kph electric pickup truck on sale.

Happily, there’s a solution, and it might just help answer some of your Christmas-gift conundrums. Namely, ‘What present should I buy them?’ or ‘What should I ask Santa for?’

You’ll have to be especially generous if this Mega X Tesla Cybertruck solves the former question. Or have behaved extremely well if the big man brings you one if it fulfills the latter. For this is a £269.99 (almost P18,000) kit, albeit one in a mahoosive box with 3,283 pieces and many easter eggs contained within, not least adjustable suspension, a functional load cover, and some neat little Tesla references. Note the windows in the image above...

You might also have noted it’s not the work of another reasonably famous brick company, but rather of Mega.

Mega is owned by Mattel, the same guys behind Matchbox and Hot Wheels toys. But then nothing about Elon Musk’s car company fits with convention, so licensing rights landing outside of Denmark kinda makes sense. And the kit does look seriously impressive. Not to mention actually purchasable right now. Aka late in 2021...
