Do you think driving over rough patches of EDSA is uncomfortable? Just imagine how much harder it is on your furry little friend in the back of the car. If you’re looking to make drives easier for your four-legged companions, Nissan has something that might interest you.
The Japanese car manufacturer is now offering a new Dog Pack accessory set for Qashqai, X-Trail, and Patrol owners. This comes following a recent study that found “augmented levels of loading on anatomical structures” in dogs who constantly had to hop in and out of vehicles.
There’s nothing too over-the-top here. The package consists of a rear protective mat, a four-piece travel set that includes a storable bowl, a sealed food bag, a waste-bag holder, an over-seat cargo organizer, and an all-terrain dog bed. A cargo barrier can also be added to make sure hyperactive pets don’t somehow make their way to the front of the vehicle.
In a statement, Nissan Australia managing director Adam Paterson shared that pet owners will love the company’s new offering.
“The Nissan Dog Pack puts your furry friend front and center, with ramps, comfortable beds, travel bowls for food and water, and new ways to organize your cargo area. Both you and your pet will love our new accessories.”
The full Nissan Dog Pack for larger pets costs $1,215 (around P45,000) Australian dollars. It’s kind of steep, but we reckon it should be worth it if you’re looking to keep your fur buddies protected while on the road.
