If you're one of the few who have bought the recently released Gran Turismo 6 after its global launch on December 6, Polyphony Digital--the developer of the popular racing simulation game--has a year-end gift for you with the release of the first two of four new Red Bull cars via an update.
According to Gran-Turismo.com, the Red Bull Racing Kart and Red Bull X2014 Junior arrive in dealerships in-game via an update. The two other Red Bull cars, the X2014 Standard and Fan cars, will supposedly be released at a later stage. The site added that the Red Bull X2014 cars have been designed exclusively for the game with Red Bull Racing's chief technical officer, Adrian Newey.
Besides the Red Bull cars, Polyphony Digital has included in the update the Red Bull X Challenge, a collaboration with Red Bull Racing that will see 2013 Formula 1 champion Sebastian Vettel "mentoring players in the art of driving an authentic formula car."
"We are very grateful to Adrian Newey, Sebastian Vettel and Infiniti Red Bull Racing for providing this special gift for Gran Turismo fans," said Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi. "To be taught how to drive downforce cars by the best racing driver in the world is very special, and the new Red Bull X2014 cars are another exciting addition to Gran Turismo 6. This is the latest update for the game and there are more to come."
