With a plug-in hybrid powertrain that churns out a ridiculous 986hp and a 0-100kph time of just 2.5sec, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale is easily one of the most capable vehicles on the planet. And now, you can wear one on your feet. Well, sort of.
This here won’t blitz you around the Fiorano in record-breaking time, but it will let you push pedals behind the wheel of a ride capable of doing so in comfort and in style. This is the Ion F—the Italian supercar manufacturer’s latest shoe collaboration with Puma.
The footwear company describes these kicks as “the Ferrari SF90 Stradale translated directly into the footwear.” These certainly look the part, with design cues that clearly draw inspiration from the hybrid supercar.
The rear of the shoe, for example, pays homage to the vehicle’s front spoiler. Then, of course, there’s the choice of colors: Either red and white or black and white. These also come with a comfortable-looking knitted sock upper, as well as a magnetic lock that gives off a very premium feel and “buckles up your feet for the next G-force driven serpentine road.”
That last bit we aren’t so sure about. We’ve never heard of a driving shoe slipping off in the middle of a race, but hey, we’ve yet to try out the SF90 Stradale, either. How much? You can buy a pair at the official Ferrari store website for £490 (just under P33,000). Worth it?
