Remember that ridiculous Robosen Optimus Prime figure that went on sale earlier this year? You know it—self-transforming capability, voice control, and an eye-watering P53,700 price tag. Well, unboxing one of these bad boys looks just about as fun as playing with them.
YouTube tech reviewer Dave Lee recently took delivery of his auto-converting Robosen Optimus Prime unit, and man we are jealous.
Firstly, the outside packaging already looks awesome and comes complete with an Autobot logo printed on it. Open that up and you’re faced with an even cleaner box, this time in black featuring a sketch of Optimus Prime. From here, you can pull out a sweet-looking travel case equipped with a handle. Watch:
Then, of course, you can finally bring out Optimus Prime himself. Transformed, the toy is actually a lot taller than marketing material suggests—something you’ll really only be able to tell when it’s plopped next to an adult human being.
Everything looks incredibly stable despite its wide range of movements, too. And the icing on the cake? A total of 80 sound effects and lines provided by none other than the Autobot leader’s original voice actor, Peter Cullen.
Frankly, though, we wouldn’t have expected less from a toy with this kind of price tag. Any Transformers fans here who wouldn’t jump at the chance to throw money at this thing?
