We’ve seen the arrival of 300c maxi-scooters over the past few years such as those Kymcos and BMWs. “Hindi pa ginawang expressway-legal” is the usual response from most people, but the fact that Filipinos are still buying these bikes proves that there’s actually a market for them here.

Now, if we could have our way, we’d have Honda Philippines (HPI) bring the ADV350 here. We’ve noticed that people have been constantly searching and reading about this model on our website since its launch last year, and we reckon it could be worth the shot. It could bridge the gap between small-displacement scooters and big bikes, catering to riders looking for a sizeable adventure/maxi-scooter to use solely around the metro.

We’re sure a lot of you are eager to learn more about the Honda ADV350, so we’ve compiled here everything you need to know about it. Read on to learn more.

As mentioned, the ADV350 still isn’t available in the Philippines. But in Europe, there’s one variant of the scooter that sells for £5,699. In local currency, that’s about P377,000. We doubt that would be the case if HPI were to bring this in, though. We’re guessing somewhere around P400,000, if not higher.

The ADV350 has a 1,520mm wheelbase and 795mm of ground clearance. Curb weight is listed at 186kg. The scooter sits on 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels shod in 120/70-15MC 56P and 140/70-14MC 62P tires, respectively.

In terms of design, the ADV350 looks closer to the X-ADV than to the ADV150. The ADV350 borrows its bigger sibling’s overall styling, with the former boasting X-ADV-like LED headlamps up front. The exterior also gets black and gray plastics that further accentuate the look.

Other bits here are pretty standard stuff. There are sizeable stepboards for the rider and foldable footpegs and grab bars for the passenger.

Like its stablemates, the ADV350 boasts a host of amenities including the full LCD display with two trip meters, a fuel-consumption gauge, and Honda RoadSync. This smartphone-connectivity function allows the use of navigation, music playback, messaging, and calls through the instrument cluster.

It also has a keyless ignition and a smart key with an answer-back feature. The latter also controls the smart top box that comes as an added option. A USB-C charging port is installed in the front glove box, and the 48-liter underseat compartment has space enough for two full-face helmets.
