We’re a sucker for fashionable helmets here at Top Gear PH. Remember those Bilmola Gundam helmets from a while back?
Well, we found another helmet that may not be as popular as the Gundam but is still stylish all the same: The Arai Tour-X4 V-Strom Edition, a special version of Arai’s popular adventure helmet inspired by the Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT.
It’s as sporty as riding gear gets, with an orange and white finish that matches the new V-Strom’s design. It also has Suzuki and V-Strom decals all around that completes the entire look.
The Tour-X4 V-Strom Edition is built with a double D-ring strap, dual intakes for front ventilation, a neck exhaust vent for rear ventilation, brow vents, a three-position chin vent, and a removable diffuser. There’s also a Dry-Cool liner inside with replaceable cheek pads, ear cups, and chin strap covers. The helmet comes with an emergency release system for improved safety, too.
This lid is pretty versatile—it can be used both on- and off-road riding, and the peak is removable, so you can optimize both style and function accordingly.
Suzuki has announced that this helmet is now available in all UK dealerships for £649, or around P40,000. What’s your take on it? Would you opt for this Arai helmet if it made its way to our market?
