‘Kuya Kim’ Atienza discussed Ducati’s most advanced motorcycle, as well as proper riding gear, in his latest motovlog.
First, the trivia master met up with his motorcycle club, the EuroMonkeys, at Bondi&Burke in Legaspi Village, Makati. There, he spoke with fellow member and Wheeltek vice president for sales and marketing Roscoe Odulio about the Ducati Multistrada V4.
Atienza asked Odulio about what makes this version of the Multistrada special, to which the latter replied: “So before the engine was V2, ngayon naging V4 na, four-cylinder. Light na siya, and then sobrang lakas. It’s really a game changer for the adventure bike [segment].
“Before kasi medyo a little bit bulky, pero ngayong medyo [proportioned] na siya dun sa design nung headlight, nung beak, and the whole body. I think this one is a way better design.”
Then, Kuya Kim headed to Brixton Bespoke Bikes in Kapitolyo, Pasig, to talk to owner JV Borromeo about motorcycle safety.
Borromeo explained the importance of wearing the right footwear (boots), pants (with ventilation, armor, kevlar lining), jacket (breathable), gloves, helmet (full-face or 3/4 with certification), and neck gaiter. “You really have to invest in gear. Find the best one that fits you right, kasi ang motor talaga peligroso, so you have to protect yourself,” he stressed. “Any time pwedeng mangyari yan pag naka-dalawang gulong, ’di ba? So, they have to prepare for that.”
