Being a food delivery rider is already hard work in itself, but imagine getting lost on your way—and not just any ‘way,’ but on an actual highway.
That’s what Gab Constantino saw when he was plying the North Luzon Expressway: a Foodpanda rider on a Suzuki Skydrive, which has a 125cc engine and is therefore not allowed on the toll road.
Watch his TikTok video, which he uploaded on Facebook:
Constantino didn’t hesitate to give the rider—who apparently had gone off course mid-delivery—and his bike a lift. Good thing the former was driving a Toyota Hiace and it was spacious enough for extra cargo.
“Naligaw kasi ako dito sa isang deliver ko, dito ako napunta sa may (inaudble),” the latter can be heard saying. Asked if he didn’t realize he was already on NLEX, the rider said, “Hindi po eh. Hinahanap ko kasi yung (inaudble), di ko makita-kita.”
Constantino eventually dropped off the rider and his scooter at a fuel station on the inner roads. His video has amassed 1.4 million views, 142,000 reactions, 39,000 shares, and a ton of positive comments as of this writing.
In his latest video, Constantino expressed his gratitude to those who appreciated his gesture, and introduced his cousin, who helped the rider load his bike into the Hiace.
Constantino said: “Salamat po dun sa mga nag-like, dun sa mga comment po na nakakataba ng puso. Sobrang nakaka-overwhelm... Salamat po sa Diyos, binigyan Niya lang po tayo ng pagkakataon para makatulong kay Kuya Rider.
“Siyempre mahirap [na] hindi natin alam kung anong peligro yung pwedeng mangyari kung nakapasok siya dun, or hindi man eh mati-ticket-an siya. Kulang pa yung isang araw na kinita niya.”
Mabuhay ka, sir!
