When we talk about mobile food caravans, they usually involve trucks, carts, or vans. But motorcycles?

Enter Moto Pop Up. Organized by independent group Segunda, the regular event sees motorbike enthusiasts selling different kinds of products on two wheels. There’s tapsilog, coffee, pizza, siomai, and quesadillas, and more.

According to co-founder Valor Betonio III, the community market offers a wide range of goods, from motorcycle parts to vintage collectibles. Still, the highlight of Moto Pop Up is the banchetto-like food bazaar.

He explains: “By the creativity siguro, yung method na lang din paano namin sine-serve yung food kapag nandoon na kami. Kasi siyempre wala ka naman sa full kitchen or a working kitchen. Everything has to fit on your bike. You have to be able to serve kung ano yung dala mo. Yun na lang siguro yung medyo challenge dun, which separates doon sa naka-kotse.

Kasi kapag naka-kotse ka, you just have to pop your trunk and mayroon ka ng shed. Unlike sa amin na sobrang limited ng pwede naming bitbitin. Nandoon lang din sa capacity ng storage namin. So we have to be creative at that. Kung hindi man yung item na dala nila, the way we do it yun yung nakakatuwang panoorin.”
