Last time we checked, the basketball star-studded motorcycle group PBA Moto Club rode up to Tagaytay for a quick weekend ride.
Back then, the league suspended all its games and activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This gave the players—Mark Caguioa, James Yap, LA Tenorio, JC Intal, Joe Devance, Raymond Aguilar, Sol Mercado, KG Canaleta, Rico Maierhofer, Lamont Waters, and JJ Helterbrand—a chance to hit the road and bond with their big bikes.
Play has sinced resumed at the PBA Bubble in Clark, Pampanga, and while some of the PBA Moto Club’s members have rejoined their respective teams, the rest of them have been busy riding and documenting their trips.
Maierhofer and Helterbrand, both of whom are currently retired, have been active in uploading motorcycle-related content—from long-distance tours to racetrack vlogs—on YouTube. After starting in June, the channel already has more than 9,000 subscribers.
The latest video shows the two, along with Waters of Alab Pilipinas, burning rubber using the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S and the Ducati Panigale V4 at the Clark International Speedway.
Good thing Maierhofer and Helterbrand have hung up their boots, seeing as active players are allowed to ride only for leisure and not racing.
