Team Suzuki Ecstar rider Joan Mir, one of the youngest riders in the 2020 MotoGP season, has so far achieved podium finishes in three of the seven MotoGP races this year. Thanks to the 23-year-old Spanish youngster’s achievements on the track, his squad currently enjoys third place in the 2020 team standings.

Understandably, Suzuki Philippines takes pride in the impressive performance of Team Suzuki Ecstar. To celebrate these achievements, the company is offering the Raider R150 in the MotoGP race bikes’ livery.

Now available on the market is the 2020 Suzuki Raider R150 (carburetor variant) in the striking silver-and-blue color scheme worn by Mir’s and teammate Alex Rins’s racing machines. This livery draws inspiration from the 50cc race bike of Ernst Degner that won the first world championship title for Suzuki way back in 1962. Also, the use of the new MotoGP color scheme not only for the brand’s underbone warrior but also for some models in the GSX-R lineup coincides with Suzuki’s 100th anniversary this year.

The 2020 Suzuki Raider R150 is not only about good form. This underbone is powered by a reliable 150cc DOHC, four-valve, single-cylinder engine that generates 15.4hp and 12.4Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission.

The suspension is a combination of a telescopic front fork and a monoshock that is solidly mounted on a durable swingarm, bestowing the Raider with well-balanced cornering traits. Stopping power is provided by dual disc brakes. Of note, the same engine and suspension setup have enabled Suzuki PH’s local racing teams to monopolize championships in the underbone class.

The Raider R150 Carburetor has three other color schemes:  Matte Black, Black Gold, and Celebration Red. Here’s the good news: The MotoGP-temed version gets the same price as the three others—P97,900.
