Due to the rising popularity of midsize adventure tourers in the local motorcycle scene, BMW Motorrad Philippines is now offering the 2021 F900 XR at local dealerships.
Launched in Spain this time last year alongside the F900 R and the S1000 XR, the sharp-looking F900 XR comes in two color schemes: Racing Red and Galvanic Gold Metallic. It shares the same sporty DNA as the F900 R naked.
Aside from its towering height, the F900 XR can easily be distinguished from its twin brother by its long silver radiator trim and twin LED headlamps with adaptive cornering and DRLs, which are part of the Headlight Pro package. It also boasts three riding modes: Rain, Road, and Dynamic Pro. The latter allows riders to switch off ABS on the rear wheel, and adjust the throttle response and traction control based on their riding style.
Another feature is the 6.6-inch TFT screen that can be paired with your smartphone for hands-free calls, music, and navigation. With the BMW Motorrad Connected app, riders can record their daily travels to analyze their riding style, accounting for factors like lean angle, braking, and acceleration, among others. There’s also a dynamic brake-light setup that signals to motorists behind the intensity of the rider’s braking.
The F900 XR is powered by an 895cc DOHC liquid-cooled in-line-two engine that churns out 105hp at 8,500rpm and 92Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Its factory-claimed top speed is 200kph, while fuel economy is listed at 24km/L.
This adventure tourer is now available on our shores for P975,000 with the full gamut of options. Interested?
