Honda ushers in the new year by updating the Gold Wing to complete its 2021 range.
The Japanese manufacturer’s flagship tourer runs on a 1,833cc SOHC liquid-cooled flat-six engine paired to either a six- or seven-speed transmission. Both the standard and Tour versions boast audio and speaker enhancements. The new Gold Wing also comes with a new contemporary Pearl Deep Mud Gray color, highlighted by orange accents on its front fender, engine cover, headlight surround, fuel tank, and rear section.
The Gold Wing Tour, meanwhile, is designed for “long-distance practicality and comfort.” Its top box, with a 61-liter capacity, now fits two large full-face helmets. The seat has a suede/synthetic leather cover and a laid-back angle for a comfortable posture especially during long rides. Like its standard counterpart, the Tour version now comes in Gunmetal Black Metallic and Candy Ardent Red color schemes.
According to Honda: “The two versions of the Gold Wings each project a distinctive aura of their own; each are the perfect choice for the modern rider who wants a technological and performance tour de force with understated, yet unmistakeable, presence.”
The refreshed Gold Wing is just one of the 24 new or revised models that Honda has lined up in 2021, with the introduction of the CMX1100 Rebel, the Forza 750, and the air-cooled Vision 110, among others.
