The newly refreshed 2021 Honda Vision 110 is the newest scooter to join the Japanese brand’s European lineup.
The urban scoot gets changes like weight reduction (via an enhanced Smart Architecture Frame), and an engine upgrade. The 109.5cc ‘enhanced Smart Power’ air-cooled engine meets Euro 4 emissions standards and is said to be 5% more fuel efficient than before. It can deliver 8.6hp at 7,500rpm and 9Nm of torque at 5,750rpm.
More important, the Vision 110 retains its Idling Stop function—operated by a switch on the right handlebar—that automatically switches the engine off after three seconds of inactivity, and instantly starts the motor upon twisting the throttle.
The model employs a Combined Braking System, which partially operates the front brake (hydraulic disc) when the rear (mehcanical leading trailing) is used. Aside from 18 liters under-seat storage space, the scooter also comes with Honda Smart Key. The 35mm-diameter fork and the 16-inch-diameter front wheel, meanwhile, provide better comfort and stability.
According to the press release, “Demand for small-capacity motorcycles and scooters has withstood the severe challenges of 2020 with great resilience: ‘commuter’ sales have held firm, remaining flat year on year through to September, and actually enjoyed a 30% year-on-year increase for the period from June to September.”
