MV Agusta has revealed its three-cylinder naked motorcycle lineup—namely, the Brutale and the Dragster series—for this year. According to the Italian manufacturer, the fully Euro 5-compliant range boasts “an even more refined engine, a revolutionary electronics package, and a more effective chassis architecture.”
The Brutale and Dragster families feature 5.5-inch TFT displays with MV Ride app connectivity, cornering ABS, a full LED cornering headlight, and a Smart Clutch System.
The Brutale, which was conceptualized by designer Massimo Tamburini two decades ago, currently comes in five variants that includes one from the Rosso entry-level series. The Rosso, RR, and SCS versions are equipped with a 798cc engine, while the 1000 RR and limited-edition Serie Oro are powered by a 998cc unit.
MV Agusta describes the lineup as “[quite] a violent sight. Hence the name, ‘brutale,’ Italian for ‘brutal.’ Mean, hostile, also thanks to its signature headlights inspired by the Porsche 911, it was an immediate and unprecedented success that is still lasting 20 years on.”
Meanwhile, the Dragster comes in four 798cc bikes iterations—Rosso, RR, RR SCS, RC SCS—highlighted by a bobbed tail, spoked wheels, and a compact chassis.
