Locally produced Husqvarna Vitpilen, Svartpilen bikes are now available at PH dealers

A year ago, Ayala-owned Adventure Cycle Philippines (ACPI) announced its plan to manufacture Husqvarna motorbikes at its Laguna plant. In August, the upcoming models were revealed to be the Svartpilen 401 and 200, and the Vitpilen 401. Now, these locally produced units have started arriving at Husqvarna’s dealerships. 

“They are all PH-made. Dealers are taking deliveries of the Husqvarnas as we speak—200s and 401s,” ACPI president Dino Santos told us. “They were all made during the GCQ (general community quarantine) and MECQ (modified enhanced community quarantine).”

The Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 share the same 373cc engine as the KTM 390 Duke and RC 390, which are also produced at Ayala’s Laguna facility. The Svartpilen 200, meanwhile, has the same 199.5cc engine as the KTM 200 and RC 200.
