Motostrada, the authorized local of MV Agusta motorbikes, has announced that the 2021 Superveloce 800 is scheduled to arrive at its showroom in Caloocan City next week.

Dubbed the “poster child of sexy Italian sportbikes” by the motorcycle media, the new Superveloce 800 embodies the true character of a neo-classic racer that gives the rider the right to flaunt its timeless design, and at the same time enjoy the class-leading electronics that focus both on safety and performance.

The gorgeous retro-bubble fairing and classic round headlight combined with a taillight apparently patterned from a jet fighter’s tail end make the Superveloce stand out among the rest. Combine these with a set of 17in gold alloy rims, ALS trellis frame, and triple-exhaust tip and you’ll surely end up drooling over this stylish Italian stallion.

The Superveloce is powered by a compact 798cc in-line-three engine directly derived from its twin brother—the track-focused F3 800. This capable mill generates a whopping 148hp and 88Nm, making it one of the most powerful in its category. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch and a quick shifter. MV Agusta made sure that it only used strong yet lightweight components for the Superveloce, which tips the scales at 173kg (dry weight).

Other features include cruise control, a 5in TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, and MVRide app compatibility that allows the rider to monitor his daily trips, access the navigation system, and to personalize the bike’s settings.

The Superveloce rolls on a set of Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tires which is good for weekend track sessions. The suspension is handled by a 43mm Marzocchi inverted fork and a progressive Sachs shock absorber with compression damping, rebound, and spring preload adjustment.

Stopping needs are taken care of by a pair of 320mm discs with four-piston Brembo calipers at the front, while a Brembo dual-piston caliper clamps the 220mm disc at the back. Both are equipped with ABS.
