Suzuki Philippines (SPI) has kicked off 2020 with a much-needed celebration for its VMan Racing satellite team.
The outfit participated in several popular events in 2019, namely: the Super Series Nationwide Championship, the Inside Racing Grand Prix, the FIM Asia International series, the Philippine National Motorcycle Championship, and the Moto IR Championship.
Team Suzuki-VMan Racing brought home numerous national and regional titles with the Raider R150, Skydrive Sport, and GSX-R150 race machines. In addition to bagging new awards, the team also defended Suzuki’s title as the ‘undisputed underbone king’ with the Raider R150.
The Raider R150 was an important part of the Team Suzuki-Vman Racing’s success, as the squad rode it to victory in both the sealed- and open-engine categories of the Super Series Nationwide Championship. April King Mascardo masterfully led the team to victory in these races, and helped secure sweep finishes and fastest-lap awards.
On the international stage, Eane Jaye Sobretodo and Djereck Ondillo finished strong at the FIM Asia Cup of Road Racing, taking the overall championship title for the Philippines.
For its outstanding performance last year, the team received cash incentives from SPI.
“I know that all your achievements have helped Suzuki become a strong force in the circuit, defending the title as the ‘undisputed underbone king,” says SPI president Akira Utsumi. “May you keep your passion burning to surpass what you have already achieved.”
With the 2019 season conquered, Suzuki seems poised for another great year of racing in 2020.
