The premium SUV wears Infiniti’s signature double-arch grille that features an “origami-inspired” mesh pattern. Moving rearwards from this bulky and aggressive-looking front fascia, you’ll see smooth sides and an equally sporty back end.
Inside, the QX55 embodies the word ‘luxury,’ as befits Infiniti’s upmarket slant. There are plush leather seats and a plethora of soft-touch materials that fill up the interior, and there’s an Apple CarPlay- and Android Auto-compatible dual-screen Infiniti InTouch infotainment system, too. Multiple USB ports around the spacious cabin are available for passengers’ charging needs.
Under the hood, the QX55 gets Infiniti’s award-winning Variable Compression Turbo four-cylinder mill that produces 268hp and 380Nm of torque. Power is then delivered to all four wheels through a CVT with manual shift mode.
“The new Infiniti QX55 is a statement maker, designed to deliver first-class comfort and stand out everywhere it goes,” said Infiniti chairman Peyman Kargar. “It’s a unique fusion of style and substance.”
Infiniti has confirmed that the QX55 will be available in 2021, and will be followed by the launch of the QX60.
