Ferrari gave its two Formula 1 drivers, two-time world champion Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, the opportunity to drive two vintage Ferrari race cars. To make everything authentic, the Italian carmaker had the two drivers dress up for the period and that meant leather jackets and gloves, a pageboy cap for Alonso and a leather driving cap for Alonso, and huge racing goggles.

Alonso was behind the wheel of the Ferrari 125 S, the very first car to be built and bear the Ferrari name by the Italian carmaker's founder himself, Enzo Ferrari, in 1947.

Massa, meanwhile, was behind the wheel of a Auto Avio Costruzioni 815. Though it doesn't bear the Ferrari brand, it is actually the first car to be fully designed and built by Ferrari himself. It was built in 1940 though a binding agreement with his former employer, Alfa Romeo, which he left a year earlier, meant Ferrari could not use his name as a factory trademark for four years.

Now, if only they opened up the throttle of the two cars and really drove them hard…
