BMW has now made it possible for everyone to view its legendary Art Car Collection by making all 17 cars available via a virtual tour.

Through the online tour, an extensive overview of the origin, history and development of each one of the 17 Art Cars is now available and readily accessible for everyone. In addition to extensive photographic material, a film has been devoted to every single one of the 17 "works of art on wheels," which were designed by internationally renowned artists. Historic racing footage and the artists' statements as well as the views of representatives from the art and culture scenes may also be viewed.

Since 1975, famous artists like Alexander Calder, Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol have made their contribution to the series. In 2010, BMW celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Art Car series by commissioning internationally acclaimed artist Jeff Koons to create the 17th vehicle of the collection.
