We are huge fans of the Mini brand, not only because the entire lineup is fun to drive, but also because of its deep and rich history. Minis are no longer as small as they used to be—a sign of the times, obviously—but they still look adorable and are very sharp and precise driving machines. We attended the launch of the refreshed 3 Door, 5 Door, and Cabrio, at the Mini showroom in Bonifacio Global City the other day. We still get a kick out of visiting the place. It really is one of the funkiest display areas that you can check out.

New for the 3 Door, 5 Door, and Cabriolet, are the revised LED headlights with integrated turn signals; LED brake lights that have a really cool Union Jack design motif to them; the redesigned Mini logo that has a ‘flat’ look; and new body colors. There are fresh castings for the alloy wheels, too. Improvements have also been made to the TwinPower Turbo engine, with weight reduction done to the driveline. Mini Cooper variants have 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbopetrol engines that develop 136hp and 220Nm. The hotter Cooper S lineup has 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbopetrol motors that produces 192hp and 280Nm. The wild John Copper Works (JCW) 3 Door takes the 2.0-liter turbo petrol motor up a notch with 231hp and 320Nm. Sounds like fun.
