The all-new Jeep Wrangler has been launched in the Philippines, less than a month after the Auto Nation Group—the American car manufacturer’s official local distributor—announced its impending arrival.

First, let’s get to the important bits. The 2019 Wrangler will be available in two variants: The Wrangler Sport and the Wrangler Unlimited Sport. Both units will come packing a potent new 2.0-liter turbocharged in-line-four gasoline engine capable of 268hp and 400Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. As of now, the company says it is still looking into bringing in units equipped with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6.

Local availability begins tomorrow, March 14, 2019. Check out the car’s prices below:

  2. 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport – P3,590,000

The SUV’s most notable characteristics are its rugged design and utilitarian underpinnings—both of which can be kicked up a notch by ‘disassembling’ the vehicle to make it roofless, doorless, and even windshield-less. The all-new Wrangler is also more than 90kg lighter than its predecessor.

Inside, there’s reconfigurable instrument cluster for the driver, a third-gen Uconnect system with a five-inch display, numerous storage compartments, and ‘drains’ that allow for easy maintenance after open-air stints in the dirt and mud. Safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, parkview rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines, electronic stability control, and multiple airbags.
