The compact crossover was spotted by one of our readers over the weekend. He sent us images that appear to show two units partaking in a photo shoot in Bonifacio Global City—possibly part of a marketing effort heading toward the launch.
We see the Territory here in both red and what appears to be a gray exterior finish, fully uncovered save for some white protective covering draped over the vehicles’ roof racks. We have to say, we’re liking this exterior as it gives off a vibe that’s equal parts rugged and stylish. The units being shot also are equipped with LED lighting units surrounding the foglight housings. Nice.
While Ford Philippines has yet to provide a specific date for the Territory’s launch in August, the company has already shared some performance details and specs.
Locally, the crossover will come equipped with a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine (no mention of specific output for local units yet) paired with a CVT and will be available in two variants, the Trend and the top-spec Titanium. It will enter just above the subcompact EcoSport in terms of size, and units will also come with niceties like wireless charging, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, a panoramic moonroof, adaptive cruise control, and Active Park Assist. Ford Philippines, though, has yet to share exactly what features will be exclusive to top-of-the-line Titanium units. Expect pricing details to be revealed by Ford Philippines once the vehicle is launched, too.
The Ford Territory was first introduced to the world during the 2018 Chengdu Auto Show in China as a collaboration between the American carmaker and the Jiangling Motors Corporation.
