What a treat: Genesis has finally unveiled the actual non-rendered images of the refreshed G70. This comes a little over a month after the Korean luxury carmaker first previewed the athletic-looking sedan.

Now, we know we’ve seen most of it already—from the new stylish quad headlamps, the massive crest grille, and the sporty air intakes up front, to the quad taillights and the dual exhaust tips out back—but this time, we get to see everything in detail. That includes the car’s cabin and all the added tech.

The G70 debuts with an interior that’s as plush as ever, featuring quilted leather seats matched with an abundance of classy soft-touch materials all around. The sedan comes with a new 10.25-inch infotainment system as standard, and this unit supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The refreshed units bound for South Korea won’t see any changes under the hood, so engine options are still a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline, a 2.2-liter turbodiesel, and a 3.3-liter V6 gasoline, all of which are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. There is, however, a new Sports+ drive mode added across the range.

Meanwhile, top-spec variants also get some performance upgrades in the form of a variable exhaust valve system and a new dynamic AWD system with a built-in drift mode. These come on top of the aesthetic improvements that have been made all around.

What do you think of the new G70? Is this luxury car too upmarket, or is it something you’d want to see arrive here on our shores? Your thoughts in the comments section, please.
