A new Lexus IS is set to be revealed soon, and even if the Japanese carmaker gave us just an incredibly small glimpse of the new-look sedan, we’re expecting to see some big design changes.
Why so? Well, those taillights look nothing like the ones on the current IS, so that’s most likely a telling sign that Lexus made quite the redesign with this upcoming model. The big reveal is set to happen on June 10, at 7am Philippine standard time. As with most—if not all—car launches these days, the premiere will be livestreamed on Facebook. You can check out the official event page here.
Lexus already hit the mark with the current IS, providing the complete package of style and performance in a luxury sports sedan. It’s already a few years old yet it looks nothing close to being outdated, and of course, it packs a punch.
Here in our market, the IS comes standard with a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 that generates 312hp and 375Nm of torque. That’s the kind of punch we hope to see more of with this new model. Along with a new yet equally impressive design, of course.
What do you think? What are you expecting to see with the new Lexus IS?
