We knew this truck was going to look tough. But damn, we didn’t expect that it would look this good.

Nissan has pulled the wraps off the refreshed Navara, and it’s easily one of, if not the, most handsome pickup in its segment. The wait was worth it.

Let’s get right to it. The biggest change is obviously the face: There’s a massive new ‘interlocking frame’ grille akin to what you’ll find on the much larger Titan, and this is flanked by some very cool four-projector headlights. The rear flaunts a handful of alterations, too. There’s a new tailgate, a new bumper equipped with a step for easy bed access, and a new pair of taillamps with C-shaped lighting signatures. If safety is a biggie to you, you’ll be glad to know the new Navara can come with Nissan Intelligent Mobility features like Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Intelligent Emergency Braking. The Intelligent Around View Monitor will make parking a breeze, and a new off-road monitor detects nearby obstacles at low speeds.

There are no mention of changes to the truck’s performance. In the Philippines, the Navara runs on a 2.5-liter turbodiesel with either 161hp and 403Nm or 187hp and 450Nm of torque, with the option of a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed automatic.

Impressive stuff. The design, in particular, is one of the most extensive we’ve come across for a pickup refresh. Let’s see if Nissan Philippines has any plans of bringing this baby in.
