A few months ago, Audi unveiled the 2017 iteration of the Q3. Now, the German carmaker has made this compact SUV available in the Philippines.
The 2017 Q3 sports some choice aesthetic upgrades. It has a new front end with daytime running lights and headlights with Xenon plus technology. The hood and tailgate are both made of aluminum per Audi's Q model blueprint, with the tailgate housing undivided LED taillights. The rest of the vehicle has various coupe-like lines to give it a sportier look.
Inside, the Q3 offers an all-black leather interior and comes with Audi's MMI infotaiment system. It boasts 460L of luggage space, which can be expanded to 1,365L if you fold down the seats.
Under the chassis, the compact SUV receives some fine-tuning to aid its handling and performance. In front are MacPherson struts that have forged aluminum lower wishbones and a cast aluminum subframe. It's a solution that Audi claims benefits the weight distribution between the front and rear axles. The rear suspension, meanwhile, is a four-link set-up. The vehicle is fitted with 235/55 R17 tires, with vented disc brakes up front and solid discs at the rear. For added safety, Audi has fitted the vehicle with its latest electronic stabilization control technology.
The Q3 is powered by a 1.4-liter TFSI lump that delivers 150hp and 250Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission. It can reach 0-100kph in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 204kph. All this German goodness can be yours for P3.19 million.
With the current Philippine compact SUV market teeming with competitive choices, the Q3 will add one more to the list of options for premium customers. Visit your nearest showroom to get a closer look at Audi's newest offering.
