By now you've heard that the all-new Toyota Vios has been launched, and chances are you've already seen the prices and variants.

About that last bit, one of the big talking points surrounding the subcompact sedan's release is its cost—price tags for the all-new Vios are higher all around compared to its previous version. In fact, the top-of-the-line G 'Prime' variant easily breaches the P1 million-mark at P1,095,000. And the non-Prime G with a manual transmission comes in at P981,000 (you can check out the rest of the prices here).

That's a pretty big deal, especially considering the Vios has been considered not only the most popular car in its class over the past decade, but also one of the most attainable.

Thankfully, there are options that'll suit most budgets. The mid-level 1.3 E is the vehicle's most affordable non-fleet unit, and actually looks pretty decent. It comes available with either a CVT (P878,000) or manual transmission (P828,000), and is decently specced inside: You still get 7 airbags, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, power side mirrors, and 15-inch alloys.

Sure you don't get niceties like LED rear lamps and a push/start button, but you have a car that covers all the basics, has a stellar five-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating, and decent entertainment kit. Do you think the 1.3 E is a good deal? You can check out its photos below:
