In spite of how people talked smack about Elon Musk’s big reveal of the Tesla Cybertruck, there are some folks out there who liked the idea of this electric pickup. In fact, Musk claims that more than 250,000 preorders have been placed for this jaw-dropping, head-turning, Internet-breaking electric vehicle.
Well, we’re not here to talk about those numbers—we’re here to talk about one organization in particular that represents a fraction of it: the Dubai Police. That’s right, the police force known for having Italian supercars like Lamborghinis and McLarens in its fleet is now looking to add the newest Tesla in town to its lineup. Check out the official announcement below:
In the tweet above, with the caption ‘2020,’ the police force proudly revealed that the Cybertruck will soon be joining its garage of crime-fighting police vehicles. Take one look and you’ll know it’s suited up for Dubai Police car duties, all right. It sports the complete look with white overall paint smothered with custom green decals.
It looks like Tesla loyalists aren’t the only ones who are convinced that the Cybertruck has a lot in store under its sleeve—some policemen are, too. How about you? Do you think it’s worth a shot?
